A NEW APPROACH TO FITNESS

What makes United Fitness Center Different?

At United Fitness Center, we know our members like we know our community. Come join us and see our bright, clean spaces, consult with our expert staff, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere where people meet not only to work out, but also to connect with one another.

Experience

20 Years and Counting!

United Fitness Center, a program United General District 304, has been providing health and fitness services for people in our community for over two decades. We are a community-based municipal entity, not a franchise or box gym. As part of the hospital district, our mission is to offer safe, efficient, and affordable programs to help individuals improve their health and overall wellness.

Approach

A Different Perspective

We don’t subscribe to a one-size-fits-all approach to fitness. Science tells us that exercise is vital to our health and wellbeing, but everyone’s journey is unique.

We take the time to talk with you to understand where you are and where you’re going. Then we provide the support you need to help you feel healthier and find joy in the process.

People

Great Staff & Community

Unlike most fitness centers, our members get to know the staff and each other. People often find that a social connection enriches their workout experience and helps motivate them to go to the gym.

Our small staff is friendly, well-trained, and always happy to help. Read more about our staff’s qualifications below.

Our Facilities

United Fitness Center is a full-service fitness facility open to the public. Our building provides a light-filled, clean space with plenty of windows. Workout equipment includes an array of upright and recumbent stationary bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines, and more. Weight rooms are fully outfitted with bar and hand weights as well as bands, exercise balls, steps, and seven stations for strength circuit training. For details on our equipment, visit our Open Gym page.

In 2018 the Fitness Center added a 1200 square foot open, airy group fitness room and upgraded its locker and shower rooms & amenities. The remodel also included a state-of-the-art air filtration system providing consistent clean air.

COVID-19 Precautions

We take the health of our members seriously. Even before COVID-19, our facilities were known for their high level of cleanliness. The following steps are in place to help keep you safe while you work out.

  • Equipment and rooms are cleaned and sanitized frequently, and members are encouraged to clean the equipment after each use.
  • All staff members are fully vaccinated.
  • Our state-of-the-art air filtration system with HEPA filters keeps the air well-circulated and clean.
  • Masks are optional for all members & staff inside the facilities, however, we encourage those at higher risk from COVID-19 to continue to wear masks.
